Raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Chung has proudly called the DFW area home for more than a decade. He earned dual degrees in Biology and Business from the University of Texas at Austin before completing medical school and advanced surgical training at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

While training at UT Southwestern’s nationally acclaimed plastic surgery residency program, Dr. Chung trained alongside and under some of the most respected pioneers in modern aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He was appointed Administrative Chief Resident and received the Excellence in Teaching Award in recognition of his leadership, surgical skill, and dedication to education.

Throughout residency, Dr. Chung performed over 2,000 surgical procedures, refining advanced expertise in facial rejuvenation, microsurgical reconstruction, trauma reconstruction, and complex aesthetic surgery.

He has also pursued additional advanced national training in facial aging surgery and modern rejuvenation techniques, continually refining his approach to achieve exceptionally natural-looking outcomes.

Dr. Chung remains actively engaged in academic research and innovation within aesthetic surgery and has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. In 2017, he received the Best Paper Award from Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open.
