This patient in her 50s was bothered by a stretched earlobe piercing that had gradually enlarged over the years. Heavy earrings would pull downward, making the piercing appear elongated and limiting the jewelry she could wear.
During the consultation, we discussed how stretched earlobes require surgical repair rather than simple re-piercing. Since she was already undergoing facelift surgery, we performed the earlobe repair at the same time.
Her results show restoration of a natural earlobe contour with closure of the elongated piercing. The repair is subtle, balanced, and allows for future re-piercing if desired.
