This patient in her 60s was bothered by a heavier lower face, loss of jawline definition, neck laxity, and changes around the eyes and lips that made her feel she looked older than she felt.
During the consultation, we discussed how facial aging is multifactorial, involving descent of deeper facial tissues, volume loss, and skin changes. Her concerns could not be fully addressed with a single procedure alone. A deep plane facelift was used to reposition the deeper facial structures for a more natural and longer-lasting improvement, while a structural neck lift addressed underlying neck banding and contour. We also included eyelid surgery to refine the upper and lower eyelids, a temporal brow lift for balance in the upper face, a lip lift to improve upper lip proportions, and facial fat transfer to restore areas of volume loss. This comprehensive plan allowed each component to work together rather than treating isolated areas.
Her results show a smoother jawline, improved neck contour, and more balanced facial proportions with subtle enhancement of the eyes and lips. She appears refreshed and more youthful while still looking like herself, without an overdone or tight appearance.
