About the Mommy Makeover
Our mommy makeover is not a "cookie cutter" procedure at Setty Plastics & Aesthetics. Since pregnancy and childbirth affect many aspects of the female body, our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Naveen Setty, will tailor each surgery to meet your individual needs. Dr. Setty privately consults with women regularly who desire to get their pre-pregnancy figure back. While childbirth is an exciting and amazing moment for a woman, it can change the size and shape of certain body parts and could leave her feeling helpless on how to make real changes with diet and exercise. The most exciting news is that it is achievable to get a tighter, slimmer figure with the assistance of the mommy makeover. Since the mommy makeover is personalized for your needs with any combination of liposuction, abdominoplasty, and breast surgery, it can save you time and money compared to getting each procedure done separately. Setty Plastics & Aesthetics has two locations (Dallas, and McKinney, TX) for you to schedule a consultation.
The mommy makeover procedure uses a combination of liposuction and skin removal to reshape the breasts, tummy, and lower body — essentially any body part affected by pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or breastfeeding can be amended. Keep in mind that we also have a diverse menu of nonsurgical procedures can be incorporated, such as wrinkle relaxers, stretch mark treatments, laser skin tightening or resurfacing, and much more.
Ideal Candidates
For so many new moms, surgical intervention is necessary to get a pre-pregnancy shape. If you are past childbearing years and are frustrated with the after effects like sagging breasts, wrinkled skin in the abdominal area, stretch marks, or undesirable areas of fat in the lower back, flanks, and buttocks, this procedure could be a great option for you. The overall goal of Dr. Setty is to help you regain your pre-pregnancy shape so you can get back to life with beautiful results and more self-confidence.

Surgical Technique
A variety of procedures can be applied together — the most popular treatments are a breast lift with or without implants, abdominoplasty, and liposuction. All of these procedures are performed under a general anesthesia, which could last 3 – 7 hours depending on the complexity of the surgical case. Also, an overnight stay at the hospital for a few days may be required to be monitored after several surgeries. Here are some of our combinations as an example of the mommy makeover:
Tummy Tuck & Liposuction
The skin and muscle tissues in the abdominal areas stretch during pregnancy and will leave skin sagging. Even after weight loss, exercise training and dieting, the skin may remain loose and unsightly. An abdominoplasty, also known as a tummy tuck, can revitalize your stomach and abdominal area by removing excess skin, tightening the inner walls of your stomach muscles, and removing unwanted fatty deposits through liposuction. The result is a tighter, flatter abdominal profile. The use of liposuction during the tummy tuck portion of the mommy makeover removes excess fat that develops during pregnancy as well.
Breast Lift, Breast Augmentation, and/or Breast Reduction
A breast lift (mastopexy) reconstructs the breast in such a way that the excess fat and skin hanging from a pendulous breast is eliminated. To give the breast a "lifted" appearance, Dr. Setty will tighten the tissues of the breast and position it in a higher position. If your nipple or areola was stretched after pregnancy or breastfeeding, Dr. Setty will address the tissue surrounding the nipple, or areola for a rejuvenated, symmetrical look.
If you desire fuller, larger breasts, Dr. Setty can perform a breast augmentation along with the lift. This cosmetic enhancement uses either saline or silicone breast implants to create a bust line that is, perhaps, larger and fuller than your pre-pregnancy breast size. Once again, the option of augmentation should be discussed with Dr. Setty in your consultation prior to surgery to determine the best course of treatment.
What to Expect
The mommy makeover surgery is categorized as an invasive process and can address a vast section of the body. Once leaving the hospital, you will start your recovery at home with rest and proper aftercare. This phase is generally a slow process. Standing upright will be difficult the first couple of weeks, and a carefully followed, at-home treatment protocol will be needed to ensure the incisions heal and avoid infection. The majority of women find the healing process can last around six months. Even while the primary healing could take months, the majority of women are able to get back to a somewhat normal routine within several weeks. Exercise should be held off for approximately two months. Regardless of recovery time, the mommy makeover procedure at Setty Plastics & Aesthetics can make an incredible impact on your life.
