About Microblading
Even though they don't get a lot of time and attention, your eyebrows are a key feature that could either hurt or help your appearance. Two shapely and properly groomed eyebrows will enhance and define your face. For those who have sparse or thin eyebrows due to genetics, aging, overplucking, or another cause, microblading at Setty Plastics & Aesthetics is a cosmetic procedure that can create full eyebrows that look natural. This newer technique is performed with semi-permanent ink and a skilled certified aesthetician who can fill in and define or create you a new eyebrow shape. At his private practices in Dallas and McKinney TX, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Naveen Setty offers microblading for patients who would like defined, natural-looking eyebrows around the clock. Schedule an initial consultation at Setty Plastics & Aesthetics to find out more about the microblading process and to get your unique treatment plan.
Microblading Reviews
Ideal Candidates
The microblading procedure is a great option for women and men who would like a more defined or fuller appearance for their brows that can last years. Most people at Setty Plastics & Aesthetics who get microblading tend to have slender brows that need to appear thicker or have specific areas that need to be filled in. Eyebrows with bald spots or thin areas can be caused by scars, genetics, overplucking, injuries, aging, and nutritional deficiencies. Compared to cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows, microblading gives you a result that looks more natural, providing a full brow or just filling in certain sections of your eyebrows. Microblading may also be used to create more curve or a distinct arch to the brows for more shape. The best candidates are in good overall health, not pregnant, and do not have high blood sugar levels since this can affect the healing process.
Procedure Technique
Prior to your microblading appointment, you will have an initial consultation to assess the state of your brows. Depending on the needs of your brows combined with your wants, a personalized plan will be developed for your microblading procedure. The treatment will be done in our minor procedures room with a local anesthesia or numbing cream to reduce any discomfort. Your microblading session can last from around 1 – 3 hours. First, your natural eyebrows will be combed and trimmed, if needed. Then, your eyebrows will be shaded with an eyebrow pen, which will act as an indicator for where the microblading will be performed. Setty Plastics & Aesthetics selects high-quality inks for hairlike, natural-looking ink strokes that match separate hair follicles for great results.
What to Expect
Immediately after your microblading appointment, you are able to leave our office and continue normal activities without a recovery period. You may notice some redness around the eyebrows; however, this typically fades in a few hours. Your brows may appear darker immediately after microblading, but they will lighten to your selected color in around two weeks. Your aesthetician may suggest that you make another appointment in a month following your first microblading treatment to finalize and touch up your brow shape. Microblading results usually last around 1 – 2 years; however, treatments may be done as needed to maintain the appearance of your brows.
