This patient in her 40s was bothered by fullness of the upper eyelids that created a tired appearance and obscured the natural contour of her eyes.
During the consultation, we discussed that excess upper eyelid skin was only part of the issue. A descended lacrimal gland was also contributing to fullness in the outer upper eyelid. In cases like this, removing skin alone can leave the lateral heaviness unchanged, so lacrimal gland repositioning was performed in combination with a conservative upper eyelid blepharoplasty to address the underlying anatomy.
Her results show improved upper eyelid contour with less fullness along the outer eyelids and better definition of the upper lid crease. The eyes appear brighter and more refreshed while maintaining a natural, unoperated appearance.
