This patient in her early 60s was bothered by heavy upper eyelids and the loss of a well-defined upper eyelid crease, which made her eyes appear smaller and less refreshed.
During the consultation, we discussed how Asian blepharoplasty differs from traditional upper eyelid surgery. The goal was not to create an exaggerated crease, but rather to restore a natural-appearing double eyelid while respecting her anatomy and ethnic features. Careful skin removal and crease formation were performed to improve eyelid definition without changing the character of her eyes.
Her results show a more defined upper eyelid crease, improved eye opening, and less upper eyelid heaviness. The eyes appear brighter and more expressive while maintaining a natural appearance that remains consistent with her facial identity.
